We didn't post our own 'fake reviews on a Homepro website' (news article) that shows up on google searches with credit that isn't due or by offering our customers a $50 rebate or the opportunity to win an ipad gimmick in order to persuade them into providing a positive review that misleads the consumer. After contacting a number of companies we accepted South Coast Sundeck's quote. It was an inspired choice. Michael Ravenscroft, the owner, was extremely diligent. He did what he said he was going to do and did it on schedule. He provided us with sound advice as the project proceeded to a timely completion. There were no financial surprises the job cost what we expected. We recommend Michael without reservation. We have a wonderful sundeck. Bruce and Marion, North Vancouver Featured Project October, 2017 Michael provided a proposal that addressed all our Strata requirements. A fixed price and completion date was provided. Michael and his crew replaced two 40 metre wood retaining walls with Allen Block walls. installed a new ground water drainage system and replaced five 3 x 3 metre wood decks and railings with "TimberTech" composite material decks and aluminum powder coated picket railings. The finished product met all expectations. Michael provided good quality, met the fixed cost and completed the work to schedule. Norman Whyte - North Vancouver Featured Project Dec, 2017 This is a reference for Michael Ravenscroft, Manager and Owner of South Coast Sundecks. Michael completed a major deck project for us in North Vancouver. We have two decks on our home, one over our family room and one over our garage. Both decks failed around the same time and were leaking into our home. We decided to replace both decks, install Tufdek vinyl, update the railing system to top less glass panels and add new color coordinated posts that match our house better. Goal was to have a more durable and longer lasting deck with an enhanced view. We called multiple contractors, received multiple quotes and ultimately decided to go with Michael. Michael knew what he was talking about, he presented himself well and had a casual yet genuine caring attitude that instilled confidence in his ability. Michael also had some good ideas that ultimately enhanced the project. Note: Michael's quotation was not the lowest priced bid. Nelson's North Vancouver Featured Project September, 2017 We chose South Coast Sundecks to refurbish our deck with new vinyl and railings after getting plans and estimates from several companies. While price wise the estimates were similar, we felt the quality of the materials was superior. Michael responded quickly to our request for an assessment. He is friendly, easy to talk to and shared several options with us as well as taking our needs into consideration. We happened to be away when the work started and were pleased to come home first of all to the finished vinyl surface and a few weeks later to the completed stairs and railings. The work included removal and replacement of the existing cedar sundecks at the rooftop levels of the four townhouses in our strata. The new decks were built from 'Trex' composite boards, and all four owners here are literally stunned by the beauty, precision, and workmanship of our new decks. The rooftop locations posed particular problems of access, and you devised and installed a custom scaffolding system that worked exceedingly well and meant that all the work could be done without access through the interior of the townhouse units. You provided Trex-certified and trained installers to ensure expert installation and the 25 year manufacturer's warranty. The icing on the cake was that the job was completed on time, on budget, and for a competitive price as well. Michael, as Strata president and a Professional Engineer in my own right, I was particularly impressed with the way you gave this project your personal attention, and the informative and courteous way you communicated with us.
